No, really. Who wouldn't love waiting 10 minutes for a response every time you click something? Or a complete inability for the computer to actually kill a non-responding program? I can't possibly think of anyone who wouldn't... except for, y'know, everyone.

Granted, it works fine if all I'm doing is word processing while accessing the internet. But may whatever cosmic entity you worship have mercy on your soul should you attempt ART. I use GIMP (free programs FTW ), which had no issues at first. Then one day it suddenly needed more memory than my computer could offer. Why? Still don't know. So I had my tech-wiz brother figure what kind of RAM this thing uses, and got more. Only it wasn't the right kind after all. It would have worked on any home computer... except mine, which requires the kind of RAM servers use.

One e-bay shopping trip later, I had the right kind, installed it... to find Windows can only run up to 3GB of RAM, whereas I now had 6.

... Grrr.

Luckily, I have Linux as a secondary OS, which has no such problems and can use it all. Hah. In your face, Windows. You know what else Linux can do? Stop programs when they die. Yes, Microsoft developers, I'm looking at YOU.

By the way, Windows, I still haven't forgiven you for that essay I spent hours on that you ate.

Right. Random rant which no one really actually cares about? Check.

In other news, school starts up again next week. I wish it didn't.

I know right? Whenever a program freezes up, you should hear horror movie dramatic strings because you're officially screwed.
